An Seminar in Sidon on White Phosphorus Injuries and Mass Casualty Management
An seminar was held in Sidon addressing the management of white phosphorus injuries and mass casualty incidents. The event was organized by the Nazih Bizri Foundation in collaboration with the Association of Civil Institutions and the Physicians Association in Sidon. The seminar covered topics related to mass casualty management, triage, and dealing with exposure to white phosphorus. It was attended by 300 paramedics and doctors from various healthcare institutions in Sidon and the southern region. Dr. Abdulrahman Bizri opened the seminar by welcoming the attendees and emphasizing the importance of community collaboration. He spoke about Sidon’s role as a vital hub during crises, praised the successes of Palestinian resistance, and affirmed Sidon’s solidarity with southern Lebanon. Dr. Hassan Abu Zeid, the head of the Health Committee, highlighted the role of civil institutions in his speech. Dr. Nazih Bizri expressed doctors’ readiness to face any potential attack.
